Thumper

Meet Thumper, an adorable low-rider Spaniel mix who is now thriving in his foster home with two furry foster-siblings.

He’s a very chill dog, except for when he’s on walks where he becomes quite excited! He’s submissive, but he’s not shy or timid.

Thumper is dog-friendly, and enjoys the company of his dog siblings, but he’s mostly focused on people – he’s very people-friendly! He’s affectionate, snuggly, and reaches out for belly rubs.

Thumper LOVES his walks, and is always waiting for his next opportunity to get out with his foster mom for an outing. When he gets excited (as he always does on his walks) his increased breath sounds are exaggerated by his elongated soft palate, but that doesn’t slow him down!

Because he’s a flight risk (always trying to slip through doors/gates to get started on his beloved walks) Thumper should be in a home with adults who can monitor doorways and gates and prevent his escape.

Thumper can be verbal with loud “woo-woo-woo”s when he’s alone and hears outside noises. He also has Thumper-specific loud squeals of delight for the first few minutes when he goes outside! Thus, homes with adjoining walls are not advised for Thumper, and he definitely needa a secure fenced back yard.

Thumper may need belly bands to contain marking as he adjusts to his new furever home, but he is currently mostly potty-trained. His pet-sitters agree that if they were looking for a dog, Thumper would be the one!
