LuA

Adopted MARCH 2024!

LuA’s Story:

LuA was only about 10 months old when she traveled to Los Angeles, CA all the way from South Korea. She had been purchased from a breeder there, but was relinquished to one of our rescue partners when her owner realized she was not prepared to handle a puppy. LuA is the sweetest little girl! She is positive and bright, playful but quiet, and enjoys watching others dogs and learning from them. When the vet spayed her in Korea, LuA’s teeth were so horrible that she polished and cleaned them, as well. That’s abnormal for such a young dog, especially a puppy. Because of the poor condition of her teeth, we suspect that LuA might have been a distemper survivor and the breeder was hiding it from the woman who was to buy her. She had been charging an additional $500 a month to train LuA, but she was still not even house-trained!

Now known as Brin and living with a wonderful family in Napa, CA, she is doing well and settling in quite nicely. Her new brother is adorable Camp Cocker alumnus Bodhi (formerly known as Gunther, class of 2022) and what a good big brother he is! Brin had a little trouble settling down in her crate and to her parents’ surprise Bodhi went over and laid down next to the crate. She was fast a sleep after that. They are working on house-training and the basics, as well as introducing Brin to the vacuum, grooming machines, hair dryer, etc. She is a quick learner and Bodhi helps as a great model. Their parents are looking forward to the weather getting better so that they can do more outside training and outings. Brin also now likes ice, like Bodhi and the kids do… what a bunch of characters. This cutie fits right in!
