Sammi

Adopted NOVEMBER 2022!

Sammi’s Story:

This tiny little cocker spaniel mix was perhaps one or two years old when she joined Camp Cocker Rescue in September 2022. Weighing only 9.5 pounds, she flew to America from South Korea as part of our Freedom Flight Rescue program. Because of her small size and short little legs, we suspect she might be mixed with dachshund. Sammi loved to eat, but would only eat food off of the floor, never out of a bowl. This cutie also needed to gain a little weight and see a cardiologist for a heart arrhythmia and low grade heart murmur. She had a loving foster home lined up prior to her arrival.

Sammi’s new mom tells us she is simply a joy! She is so full of young energy, is super friendly with people, dogs, and kids; though, she still has some insecurities with loud noises or really quick movements. She isn’t a lapdog that will sit still on your lap, but she will trounce all over it, wiggling for love and play time. She is the most adorable little 10lb cocker mix ever! She loves stuffed toys and is constantly emptying the toy box and scattering them all over the house. She is an expert and removing the stuffing, and she must have every toy that her brother Teebo picks up. Thankfully, Teebo is an excellent big brother and is very good at sharing. Sammi and Teebo play together non-stop, wrestling and zooming around the yard, and then they sleep snuggled up next to each other, no matter where they are sleeping. Sammi’s other favorite activity is taking walks with her brother and meeting people and other dogs along the way.

Fun fact: Sammi’s brother, Teebo, is also a Camp Cocker rescue dog!
