Teebo

Adopted NOVEMBER 2022!

Teebo’s Story:

This handsome corgi mix was just a few years old when he was rescued from an animal hoarding situation in South Korea that had over 1800 dogs living outdoors. He was deeply traumatized and had trust issues with strangers. When Teebo first arrived as one of our Freedom Flyers in March 2021, he managed to escape from one of our volunteers and went missing for 72 hours. We were so worried about him! Thankfully, with the help of some volunteers from Dog Days Search & Rescue who spent three days and nights tracking Teebo, he was found and returned to us safe and sound. Because Teebo was a huge flight risk (he must always wear a GPS tracker now), we wanted to find him the exactly right forever home in order to set him up for success.

Teebo’s foster mom began fostering him that Spring, and was dedicated to doing daily gentle socialization and ongoing training with him. It took Teebo several weeks to trust his foster mom, but he ended up making a ton of progress in her care. Well, several months later, she decided to make it official and adopt Teebo! Teebo loves to chase the squirrels in the backyard, hang out on the patio, enjoy the sunshine, watch the birds and relax, but his all-time favorite thing is going for walks and he makes the cutest little excitement sounds while you are getting him hooked up and ready to go. All you have to do is grab the leash and it’s GO TIME!

Teebo absolutely adores his new little sister Sammi (who was also adopted from Camp Cocker Rescue in November 2022) and they play together non-stop. It’s the cutest thing ever! He also loves his little stuffed lamb toy and he whimpers when he carries it around. He takes lamby up to bed with him every night and brings it down in the mornings. Dogs with PTSD like sweet little Teebo can take a long time to adjust and get adopted, but they are absolutely worth the extra effort it takes to help them heal!

From Teebo’s adopter: “He truly is one of the sweetest, most sensitive little boys I have every fostered, and adopting him was my absolute pleasure.”
