Penelope’s Story

Rescue Date: January 15, 2026

Origin: Orange County Shelter

Penelope is a very sweet Cocker Spaniel, just rescued from the Orange County shelter as a stray on 1/15/2026. With significant eye issues, and painful eyes, she’s determined to be blind and having double eye enucleation on Friday, 1/16.

Shelter staff described her as a good sport when shots were given, and she was a very good girl during the bath that Cathy gave her on rescue day. Stay tuned for Penelope’s post-surgery status and photos, here on her website and on our social media

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination.
