Who wants an update on our beloved senior girl, Lake?!?
On Tuesday she had an enormous mass removed from her butt and we are waiting on biopsy results
Her dental went well - she didn’t need any extractions which is shocking, so we were really happy about that.
Her back is hunching and she has back pain, so we have an upcoming appointment with a neurologist (we really hope her biopsy is clear, in case she has a back disc that is compressed). Our vet suspects a compressed disc or a disc that is about to slip or rupture. We’ve been keeping her in an x-pen to keep her movements minimal, and she is on pain meds and CBD oil. She has been such a good girl and doesn’t seem to mind the x-pen one bit!!
The good news is this sweet senior lady has adopters waiting for her!! It can be hard to get a 14 year older dog adopted, and this is such a good fit and we know she has happy days ahead!! But we still have a journey first to help her get the care she needs. She was denied medical care for so many years and is so deserving of the care she is now receiving.
